Dr. Huan Ma
TCMD, Phd, L.Ac
Dr. Huan Ma comes from a long family line of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctors. He completed his Ph.D in acupuncture and internal medicine at Tianjin University of TCM. Dr. Ma served as the supervising physician at the Acupuncture and Chinese Affiliated Outpatient Clinic of Tianjin University in China and was a contributing author to Integration of TCM and Western Medicine Emergency and Practical Internal Medicine. He is a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Dr. Ma is dedicated to teaching and developing acupuncture in America and served as Associate Dean of Acupuncture Clinical Services and full-time professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. Dr. Ma is a renowned acupuncturist focusing on pain management and the treatment of the most difficult and complex of medical cases.
Tao Gong completed her bachelor’s and Master’s of acupuncture at Tianjin University of TCM. She was a staff physician at the Tianjin Internal Medicine Clinic and is currently serving as a clinical supervisor and assistant professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. Dr. Gong has extensive clinical experience in treating gynecological issues and providing cosmetic acupuncture treatments. She is a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Ben Jacobson is NCCAOM board certified and licensed acupuncturist in the state of Minnesota as well as a Chinese medical massage (tui na) practitioner with over a decade of Traditional Chinese Medicine experience. Ben has worked with a variety of patients, including the MN Gophers and Vikings Football teams, Twin Cities Marathon Elite Runners, St. Paul Police, constituents of Park House, Salvation Army, and the Aliveness Project. He has also worked with in-patient populations at Courage Center and Woodwinds Hospital. Ben focuses primarily on helping people manage and recover from pain, musculoskeletal injury, headaches and stress. Ben earned his Master’s in acupuncture in 2009 from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Bloomington, MN, at which time he also completed a study abroad program at Tianjin TCM University in China. His previous schooling includes a BA in music from Vassar College, 1998, and a massage degree from CenterPoint School for Massage and Shiatsu, 2004.
Joanna Willis is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and national board certified diplomate of Oriental medicine. She earned her master ’s degree in Oriental medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, and in 2013 completed advanced studies in China at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As part of her clinical education Joanna interned at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Woodwinds Hospital, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, and Cerenity Senior Care. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions, including pain, stress, insomnia, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, and infertility. Whether it is to seek recovery from a recent injury or a long-standing condition, or to maintain balance and wellness, Joanna loves helping people live life well through traditional, holistic Chinese medicine.
Paige Powers is an NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist, licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. She graduated valedictorian from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Master’s degree in acupuncture. Her internships included Bloomington Natural Care Clinic, Salvation Army Harbor Light Center, Woodwinds Hospital, Woodwinds Natural Care Clinic, Penny George Institute for Health and Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital including emergency room and intensive care units, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, UMMC Children’s Hospital, Pillsbury House Integrated Health Clinic, Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center, and the Human Performance Center for professional athletes. Paige also received a BFA in dance and BS in anthropology from Florida State University in 2001. She is AFFA certified in personal training and is an instructor in Pilates, GYROKINESIS®, and GYROTONIC®. She has studied Kinesiology, Alexander Technique, Franklin Method Feldenkrais, Laban Movement Analysis, Ortho-Bionomy®, and Neurokinetic Therapy®. Paige is certified in Thai Massage and has worked with the Minnesota Lynx athletes and United States Olympians.

Mark McKenzie earned his PhD in TCM Internal Medicine from Tianjin TCM University in Tianjin, China and his Master of Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota. Mark has been a Board Certified (NCCAOM) and a Minnesota licensed acupuncturist (Minnesota Board of Medical Practice) continuously since 1999. He has certifications in massage, craniosacral therapy and somato—emotional release. He is currently the Executive Director of the Accreditation Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and served as Dean of the MN College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from 2002—2012. Mark blends his extensive experience and training in Chinese medicine, professional bodywork and collegiate level sports to promote the health of individuals. He believes in a collaborative approach and stresses the importance of environment and nutrition.
Na Robideau graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in Bloomington, Minnesota with a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and NCCAOM board certified diplomate. While attending NWHSU and as part of her clinical training, Na interned at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Pillsbury House, St. Francis Regional Medical Center and Bloomington Natural Care Center.
Na worked at Acupuncture Health Center throughout her acupuncture degree studies as office manager and mentee under Dr. Huan Ma, owner and founder of Acupuncture Health Center. The knowledge she gained at NWHSU and her various internships as well as her assistantship at Acupuncture Health Center supports her in her clinic focus on women’s health issues, pain management and collaborative efforts between Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Na is excited to help her patients reach their health goals using the ancient and artistic, yet scientific and very practical traditional practice of acupuncture.
